In September 2020, the UK Spectrum Policy Forum held a workshop on WRC-23 agenda item 1.5 which focused on mobile and broadcasting services below 1 GHz.

The upcoming UK SPF Cluster 4 workshop will look at the progress that was made over the last 18 months since the last UK SPF event, and discuss any relevant developments in the preparatory studies to WRC-23.

Background

Agenda Item 1.5 at the next World Radiocommunication Conference (WRC-23) is to review the spectrum use and needs of existing services in the frequency band 470 - 960 MHz in Region 1 and consider possible regulatory actions in the frequency band 470 - 694 MHz in Region 1 on the basis of the review in accordance with Resolution 235 (WRC-15).

Some parties at the September 2020 workshop proposed to place some PMSE spectrum / regulatory issues at WRC-2027 under agenda item 10.
