The techUK Podcast – Digital Place: From the future of digital democracy to the council of the future

In this month’s techUK podcast we explore all things local government digital. We discuss everything from how digital has reinvigorated civic engagement to the future of digital democracy and reimagine local public service delivery.

Georgina Maratheftis, Head of Local Public Services at techUK is joined by Dr. Jamie Samson, Head of Data Science & Insights, MindFolio (0:48), Charlotte Holloway, Government Relations Director, UK and Ireland at Zoom (12:02) and Jonathan Lloyd, Assistant Director - Strategy & Design – Corporate Development, London Borough of Waltham Forest (30:01) for this month’s Digital Place podcast.

This last year has been a catalyst of digital change for many councils, rethinking how services are delivered and what engagement with the citizen looks like – from public participation in remote meetings to greater collaboration across the place to solve common challenges. Listen to the full podcast for insights on how local government can build on this momentum and utilise digital and data to design services that put citizens first, empowers communities and enables meaningful partnership working across the place.

This podcast is part of techUK’s #DigitalPlace campaign and you can catch-up on all the content from Digital Place week here.
