The techUK podcast: Tech and Net Zero

In this podcast we focus on climate with interviews with some of our most innovative members following COP26. techUK was glad to be at the climate talks and it was great to see so many members sharing knowledge, best practice and demonstrating the potential of tech in driving down emissions across the whole economy.

We open with an interview with Elena Avesani from Oracle on their approach to net zero, how they help clients meet their environmental objectives and how it links in with circularity and other sustainability initiatives. This is followed by a discussion with Helen Grundy from Hitachi, a main partner of COP26, who talks through how data can drive decarbonisation in infrastructure, towns and cities.

In the third section we talk to Veera Johnson and Will Wells, two clean tech start up founders about their experiences in setting up environmentally focused businesses, the investment appetite for climate tech and how they see sustainability as a differentiator in the market.

Lastly we speak to Matt Houlihan from Cisco, on his reflections as a COP26 partner and the challenges of setting robust climate targets in a large multinational business.
